HEAD OF AN INDIAN PRINCESS LEFT WITH HAIR TIGHTLY CURLING OVER NECK AND CROWNED WITH A CIRCLE OF FEATHERS AND "LIBERTY" INSCRIBED ON THE HEADBAND.
REVERSE:
WREATH OF CORN, COTTON, WHEAT AND TOBACCO ENCIRCLING VALUE, DENOMINATION AND DATE.
THE  DENOMINATION WAS ENACTED BY CONGRESS TO MAKE IT EASY TO BUY A 100 COUNT SHEET OF 3 CENT STAMPS.
