The following section details our shipping policies:
    Shipping:
We double-box most items we ship. We may ship items single-boxed if they are unbreakable or in protective original packaging.
We are ready to ship ASAP:
When we list an item on EBay, it is already packed and ready to ship.
    Shipping fees:
Although EBay allows sellers to add hidden fees to shipping costs, we do
    not
add additional fees. Our buyers only pay actual shipping fees.
    Shipping carriers:
    We prefer to use
    USPS Priority Mail
. We believe it is the best service available. However, on combined or heavier orders we will work with the buyer to use other carriers for a better shipping rate.
The EBay combined shipping estimate might be flawed.
    The following section deals with
    combined shipping
and why the EBay estimate for combined shipping might be wrong:
    What is combined shipping?
A buyer may save on shipping fees by combining multiple purchased items into the same shipping package. We will combine shipping whenever possible,
provided the items being shipped are all purchased from us at the same time
    .
My combined shipping estimate is astronomical!!!
Yes, this happens sometimes and is a shortcoming of the automated formula EBay uses. We will correct any miscalculations when we purchase the shipping label. We only charge actual shipping costs and refund any overage charged to the buyer.
How do you correct a miscalculated combined shipping fee?
This is resolved at the time we purchase the shipping label. We will not know the actual combined shipping cost until
we pack all of the purchased items into the same container and enter the updated size and weight information into the EBay calculator
    - sometimes we are not able to do so until after the buyer pays the incorrect shipping fee.
When we purchase the shipping label we will refund to the buyer any overage above the actual shipping cost.
We do not add extra costs to shipping fees and charge the buyer only the actual shipping cost.
Why is the EBay combined shipping calculator sometimes wrong?
The main problem with the combined shipping calculator is that it adds together the weight of all the purchased items as well as the weight of the individual packaging for EACH item even though less packaging is used for combined shipping. Though the EBay calculator is frequently correct, here is a simplified illustration of what might happen when it goes wrong:
A buyer considers buying one plate from us. When we listed that plate we told EBay the shipping weight is 3 pounds; EBay does not know that the plate alone weighs only 1 pound and, because we double-boxed the plate, the boxes and packing weigh two pounds, making the total shipping weight 3 pounds. The buyer then decides to buy 5 plates instead of 1. EBay figures that if 1 plate weighs 3 pounds, then 5 plates weigh 15 pounds. In reality, once the 5 plates are all packed together in a slightly larger double-boxed container, the total shipping weight is only 8 pounds, not 15. In this case, the difference in shipping fees can be significant.
This example is somewhat extreme, in that the packaging is very heavy compared to the item being packed but it shows what happens when the combined shipping formula involves items that are lightweight but their packaging is heavy. For the most part, the EBay combined shipping calculations are correct because there is equilibrium amongst the weight of the combined items, the use of less packaging when the items are combined and the broad tiers of shipping rates. However, sometimes the formula just does not work.
We correct these miscalculations when we purchase the shipping label and refund overage to the buyer, charging only the actual cost for shipping.
