Description

The Kenya 100 Shillings Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Kenya in 2019. The purple banknote bears English and Kiswahili texts. Its obverse depicts the Kenyatta International Conference Center in Nairobi with a seated Kenyatta statue and the tower and amphitheater buildings. It also shows Mount Kenya and a leopard. The reverse displays corn cobs, tea leaf harvesting, and livestock rearing. The banknote contains a red-to-green windowed security thread with demetalized bird and CBK 100. It also shows a watermark that reveals a lion’s head, an electrotype CBK / 100, and Cornerstones. The banknote is 128 x 64 mm in size and is signed by Patrick Njoroge. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition.
