    Description

    This uncirculated 20 Kenyan shilling note was introduced in July 1996. It has the signatures of Micah Cheserem as the Governor and Benjamin K. Kipkulei as the Member of the Central Bank of Kenya. Its obverse side contains English and Kiswahili text, a lion, a portrait of former president Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi, Mount Kenya, roses, and the national emblem. The reverse side includes the Moi International Sports Complex stadium in Kasarani, an Olympic medal, and a runner going towards the Olympic baton. Security features of the note include a solid security thread, an elephant registration device, and a lion head watermark. Its dimensions are 135 mm by 70 mm.
