    Description

    This uncirculated 20 Kenyan shilling banknote was introduced in 1997. It has the signatures of Micah Cheserem as the Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya and Margaret Chemengich as the Member. The portrait of Arap Moi, a lion, the Coat of Arms, and roses are features on the obverse side. The Moi International Sports Complex stadium in Kasarani, an Olympic medal, and a runner on his way to light up the Olympic baton are featured on the reverse side. The note has a windowed security thread with demetalized CBK 20, a lion head watermark, and an elephant registration device. It is 135 mm long and 70 mm wide.
