Description

The Kenya 50 Shillings Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Kenya in 2019. Its obverse features the Kenyatta statue and Kenyatta International Convention Centre with buildings and mountains in the background. It also shows the coat of arms of Kenya and a buffalo’s head. The reverse depicts wind turbines, a geothermal power plant, solar panels, and a dove with an olive branch. The note contains a red-to-green windowed security thread with demetalized bird and CBK 50 and a watermark that reveals a lion’s head, an electrotype CBK/50, and cornerstones. It is 124 x 62 mm in size. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
