Vintage S.S. White Frosted Glass Dental Mortar & Pestle

Description

This is a great mortar and pestle. The mortar is
approximately 1 5/8" tall, up to 2 1/8" wide. The pestle measures 4 3/4" long.
Frosted glass. The pestle has a flattened section on the handle, so it does not roll away.
This type of mortar was originally made for dentists to mix up amalgam fillings.
Made by S. S. White in Philadelphia and accordingly marked. Also bears a faint handwritten number "200".
In excellent condition without any apparent damage. However, there is some discoloration in the bottom of the mortar (see picture).
